Todd Cahoon started acting in plays as a child, but didn’t really get serious until his high school girlfriend talked him into taking an acting class with her.  The teacher gave him a scene from THE BREAKFAST CLUB, “Sport-o”, and it was all over from there - Todd had fallen in love with acting!

Todd went to Foothill Jr. College for one year and knocked out his general education classes.  He spent most of that year jumping form play to play in local Bay Area theatres.

Todd auditioned and was accepted into the Boston University Conservatory, where he received grants and scholarships to pay for his education.  There he studied acting, directing and theatre studies and graduated with my MFA.

While Todd was at university, he took an internship in London, England where Todd read scripts for Norma (producer/DANGEROUS LIAISONS) and David (her son - producer of the HARRY POTTER movies) Heyman’s production companies.  At night, for extra money, Todd helped run a theatre on Kings Road.

Todd spent his last collegiate summer in New York teaching gifted children acting at an arts camp.

After college, Todd moved back to the Bay Area where he started working as model and actor in San Francisco.  He worked in plays, TV shows, commercials, and movies until he received his union cards and, eventually, moved to Hollywood.

Todd’s first two years in Los Angeles were spent studying with William Alderson, a graduate and teacher at The Neighborhood Playhouse.  This is where Todd honed his craft learning the world renown Sanford Meisner Technique.

Upon graduation, Todd found a manager and agent and soon began his career in Hollywood, booking his first movie, ESCAPE UNDER PRESSURE (with Rob Lowe) and a ROSS commercial campaign.

The past 12 years Todd has worked and earned a living as an actor.  He has acted in community theatre, appeared in over 40 commercials, and guest starred and reoccured in numerous television shows, including: CSI, CSI:NY, THE CLOSER, NIP/TUCK, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, ZOEY 101, COLD CASE, BURN NOTICE and WITHOUT A TRACE to name a few.  In 2008, Todd starred as “Jack Porter” in the MY.NETWORK.TV hit series WATCH OVER ME (65 episodes).

Todd has also appeared in several movies, such as SEVEN POUNDS, LADDER 49, SURROGATES and THE POUGHKEEPSIE TAPES.  He is currently playing “Detective  Westwood” in KILLER ASSISTANT and acts in the starring role of LIFT ME UP (MarVista Entertainment - July, 2016) starring opposite to Shane Harper, Chris Browning and Kathryn McCormick..

Todd has worked with some of the greatest actors of our time: Denzel Washington, Bruce Willis, Joaquin Phoenix, John Travolta, Chris Pine, Fay Dunaway, Rob Lowe, Kyra Sedgwick, J.K. Simmons, Rosamund Pike, Felicity Huffman, George Wendt, Sharon Gless, Patrick Warburton, and Elliott Gould.

Todd has studied with some of the greatest teachers and places in town: Margie Haber, Lesly Kahn, Dee Wallace, William Stanford Davis, The Groundlings, Improv Olympics, Kalmenson & Kalmenson, and Film Actor’s Workshop.  He has practiced in countless amount of casting director workshops and Todd has been coached by some of the best - Shari Shaw, Annie Grindlay and Eric Kline.  He was also an active member in The Collective Theatre Company for five years.

Over the past few years Todd began a directing and writing career.  He has directed and produced several short films and started a production company, RoaR Entertainment.  They specialize in corporate videos for websites and commercials.  Todd has also written three features, and he will be in pre-production on my first Indy Feature in the fall.

Todd is very grateful for his career and success.  Todd is also truly grateful for his wife, Meagan, and the blessed life they live with their two children, Easton James, and McQueen.  They are expecting another boy in July!  However, Todd might be most grateful to be an artists, his life’s calling.

Todd is blessed with a talent, drive and passion to be the best person, artist, spiritual and family man he can be.  God willing.
